Judge denies felon's bid to get shooting charges dismissed under Stand Your Ground

A Palm Beach County felon once dubbed a "domestic terrorist" by police failed to convince a judge to dismiss two attempted murder charges from 2012 based on a Stand Your Ground self-defense claim.

Brian Bragdon, whose case at one time was headed to the Florida Supreme Court, should not receive immunity from prosecution, Palm Beach County Circuit Judge Dina Keever has ruled.

A trial date has not yet been set for Bragdon, 26, previously convicted for dealing cocaine, though attorneys are to talk with the judge on Jan. 12.

The charges against Bragdon and his girlfriend and co-defendant, Briana Threatt, 24, resulted from a pre-dawn fight the couple and a friend had with two men inside an adult club, then called Dream Girls, at 1000 N. Congress Ave., near West Palm Beach.

Imagine that. I thought Stand Your Ground gave people carte blanche to shoot anyone who looked at them wrong. I guess not.

More stories showing how the system of laws we have continues to work when enforced, to drive violent crime even lower than it has been.

Maybe he figured out that his others were just crime stories that had the word "gun" somewhere in them when googled?

Bolphunga the Unrelenting is known to have proved his mettle countless times. Reportedly, he pulverized "Rustang the Vindictive," pureed the terrifying "Kloba Vud," and broke seventeen of "Rivera's" arms. Bolphunga attempted to truly landmark himself by challenging the "most feared and mysterious being of them all," the Green Lantern known as "Mogo." He arrived on the planet where Mogo had been last seen, and challenged Mogo to a fight, but to his astonishment could not find him anywhere. Cutting through the forests, he examined the plants to see if they were Green Lanterns, he examined the insects to see if they were Green Lanterns, he drew maps, and set up base camps, staying on the planet for many months attempting to track Mogo. Finally, in a moment of horror, he understood the significance of the forests' and their strange clearings... Mogo was the planet. Bolphunga fled in terror.

And last week we found out that gun store's can be successfully sued if they break the law. They aren't really immune from all liability, just stupid SLAPP suits.

So much for all of us gun humping, ammosexuals to learn from our moral betters.

seems the system works unlike what we are always told about SYG. Care to make a comment on how this law worked?
