For our NJ residents : be the change you want to see.

http://www.change.org/petitions/new-jersey-right-to-carry

Why This Is Important

The "Citizens' Protection Act," revises and simplifies the procedures for securing a permit to carry a handgun in the State of New Jersey.

Under the provisions of the bill, an applicant for a permit to carry a handgun would be entitled to that permit so long as he can demonstrate competence with a firearm and is not statutorily disqualified

4. But...they'll lose Brady points! They're currently as 72 points, the second most in the nation!

As far as I can tell, passing this law would bring them down to (shudder) 70 points.

Blood in the streets, shoot-outs...bring out the usual suspec...I mean arguments.

The same place that all that other mayhem from licensed CCW people happens, between your ears.

In the meantime we'll all overlook the fact that McVeigh didn't use a gun of any kind and Ray used a common hunting rifle, or do you want to ban those now too? No one expects anything like accuracy from anything you post anyway.

7. McVeigh was a gun "nut" of the highest order. Ray should never had been allowed to own a gun.

You might be the most perfect gun owner to walk the earth. Unfortunately, there are plenty of others who aren't.

..."It doesn't matter if your hindsight is 20/20 when your foresight is 50/50."

If you have a theory, post it for review.

12. It does seem to be a maxxed out pseudo philosophy, doesn't it?

Involving something about "pollution", all the same people buying more guns and a pending imaginary backlash of the "96%" that don't conceal carry. Couple that with a desperate, repetitive clinging to the past, 50 years ago when when Georgia was run by racists, as if it still is a major issue there.

But I don't find much need to pay much attention to people that actually do nothing about their supposed "beliefs" except whine online. I'm guessing that in spite of all the online "sturm und drang" he's never really confronted an open or concealed carrier in the local Starbucks or started a single petition for anything related to gun control.

In the meantime we're busy getting Illinois as the 50th (and last) shall issue Concealed Carry state. Next month is I-GOLD, (Illinois Gun Owner Lobby Day). Last year we had an estimated 8,000 people in Springfield meeting with their Reps and Senators and we missed it by 6 votes. This year, after Wisconsin passed it we got 3 more votes confirmed and we're hoping for over 10,000. The focus will be on getting those last 3 votes we need for a super majority.
