'She wasn't scared a bit': How girl ELEVEN grabbed gun and shot dead cougar that was stalking her brother, 13, outside their house

When Thomas White spotted a cougar approaching his teenage son outside their home in rural Washington state last week, there was only one thing to do - hand a gun to his 11-year-old daughter.

Although when cougars do this sort of thing they're generally stalking drug dens. I think. Okay, I made that last part up.

Except that in this case they are actually children, not the convenient "new" definition of child (remind me, is it 0-25 years old now?) used in "studies".

In Texas, cougars are considered vermin, and there is no regulated sport hunting.

Sounds like these cats ran out of prey in their territories and were going for what was available: Us. I've always supported wolf and big cat re-introduction... and the hunting/management that goes with it.
