Andrew Weido told Houston television station KHOU (http://bit.ly/16pzsvv ).
"The suspects forced the woman to taken an undisclosed amount of money from the bank, then forced the husband to drive them in his truck down Highway 71, Weido said. It was then that the husband grabbed a gun that was in the truck and fired at the suspects, he said.

(61,694 posts)The article isn't clear on whether the bank was open or closed. I hope the Texas Rangers clarify what happened in more detail if they can do so without revealing the names of the victims.

(7,720 posts)Reporting sure isn't what it used to be. I used to some newswriting and the basic 'who, what, where, when, why, and sometimes how' was not fulfilled by the attached story. I did a quick search and could only find the AP story which doesn't tell us squat.
If the woman worked at the bank, left for the day and returned to the bank, she is not going to have access to any money. We don't know what time of day this all went down.
The woman is going to be investigated to make sure she wasn't in on the robbery.
