Vermont lawmakers to consider assault rifle ban

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) ó Vermont lawmakers plan this year to weigh in on the national debate over gun rights following a recent spate of mass shootings, including one in which 20 Connecticut schoolchildren and six school staff died.

Sen. Philip Baruth, the majority leader in the Senate, is introducing a bill that would reinstate in Vermont the federal assault weapons ban that had been in effect for several years but no longer is.

Baruthís bill also seeks to cap the number of rounds in a gunís magazine to five.

1. Could gunners get quarantined into red

states only? Suppose blue states all adopt gun control laws?

4. I'll bet there is a DUI law in CT too.

Just saying isn't saying anything. Gunner bullshit talking points again?
For the umpteenth time, we make laws knowing we can't stop or protect from every event the law addresses but we don't stop trying to effect a change.
When are you gunners going to get a clue and quit with the talking points?

10. I support all of Obama's EOs, universal background checks and limits on magazine size.

Looks like you don't know me either.

9. If that happened and I was a violent criminal I would move to a blue state....

as it would offer me a much safer workplace environment.

2. An AWB in a state where no permit is even needed to carry a concealed pistol? ...

I'm a bit skeptical.

8. Yeah, this guy is blowing smoke up his own ass.

VT is one of them most liberal in terms of gun control, among other things, and the voters aren't stupid.
