Hey, DU'ers who post here. Just wanted to share this tidbit of news.

Troy, Michigan Mayor Janice Daniels, who posted homophobic slurs on her facebook page last spring, a Tea Party member, was recalled last night, and immediately booted from office as of today.

She was the target of a recall lead by a number of brave citizens of Troy who stood up for what was right. And last spring, she was the target of organized protests by civil rights activists both GLBT and straight.

Couldn't of happened to a more deserving bigot.

Peace and Love to all of you. Civil rights for all, GLBT, straight, whoever, are moving forward and never will be stopped when people stand up for what is right.
