Is this too patronizing?

I wrote this in an effort to get LGBTQ support for the candidate I'm supporting. However, I am concerned that I may come across as thinking of your community as one dimensional, as though all you care about are your own issues, and not the economy or gun control, etc. At any rate, please tell me what you think, and what I could do to make it better.

Hi, my name is Lauren, and I am a long-time MEET-UP enthusiast. This year, Congresswoman Donna Edwards is one of the only two black women running for US Senate. Donna has had a strong record on LGBTQ issues since she entered Congress in 2008. She supported repeal of DADT, fought to protect employees against discrimination based on sexual orientation in 2009, aggressively championed same-sex marriage in 2012, fought to combat sexual identity discrimination in public schools and reauthorized the Violence Against Women Act of 2013 with special provisions protecting lesbians and transgender individuals from abuse. I personally think the world of her. Right now, she needs boots-on-the-ground support to fight a very well-funded Congressman from Montgomery County, Chris Van Hollen. If you are impressed with her record, please share this information with your group or people you know, and consider joining the campaign. Her website is www.donnaedwardsfrosenate.com, but you can also work directly with the Baltimore Field Director, Perrice Austin, by sending him an e-mail at [email protected]. I hope you will join us,
Lauren

to avoid the "one-dimensional" thing. Maybe say something like: "To find out where she stands on additional issues, visit her website. I think you will agree she is worthy of our support."
