For Corporate websites, you’re not anonymous. They know your name, email, and company.

An interesting post on hacker news that shows that even just going to a website and not signing up for anything, they know your name, email and company u work and potentially even more.

When people discuss government spying on you its just not government its also corporations.

Would clearing your cookies/cache help, as it would look as if you were surfing to a site from a brand-new session.

I also use Do Not Track Plus for Firefox, which blocks tracking cookies.

I wish the article had offered solutions for stopping this from happening.
