Help save a sweet pit bull!

This is Mellie. She is 2 years old and was cited as a vicous dog because she jumped up on a guy and tore his T-shirt last fall. Her 'trial' is tomorrow in Benton County Arkansas. The local shelter professionals have evaluated her and declared she isn't vicous in any way.

Good News! Mellie was spared! Her classification was reduced to 'nuisance'. sinkingfeeling Feb 2013 #12
I know dogs 1/4 her size that could be classified as nuisance DainBramaged Feb 2013 #13

I wish I could have a dog but living situation does not allow it and my cat and the 3 strays I take care of would not like it much. How sad. I hope she can be spared as well raised pit bulls are great dogs

Please be saved. Poor Pits get such a bad rap.

Is that a piggy or a bunny with her? We have both here at this home, kinda looks like a combo of both.

Who was this guy? Adult? Kid?

HOW did she tear his shirt? Was it her paws of her teeth?

Obviously there is something more to this story. Someone reported her to the authorities. Do you have any more information?

Even the guy who got jumped by 3 dogs, including Mellie, says he doesn't want the dog put down: "I don't want their dogs to be taken away or anything like that. I didn't even want cops involved," Rhinehart said.

He was attacked by THREE dogs, her's was just one of them. Apparently the dog got loose and used this freedom to "assault" someone. Whether it tore his shirt by jumping up on him with its paws or it tore his shirt by biting it. Who knows.

He was so afraid he didn't want to walk past the house again, and instead stopped at a neighbor's home to ask for help. Fortunately it wasn't a little kid.

Lucky for him the three dogs did not wish to injure him seriously or he would be severely mauled or dead.

In any case, the judge will hear both sides of the story and make what he thinks is the best decision based upon the evidence.

good for here that she was spared. An intelligent judge, a stupid complaint, and a stupid person who will do that shit to anyone or anythng.
