Today I shared something VERY unusual with our oldest dog.

She's on a course of antibiotics and steroids for a paw injury. The last of the antibiotics went yesterday. All that is left are the steroids. Twice a day till they're gone.

At supper tonight I took my usual fistful of pills. I also took out her cap and put it on my cell phone so I wouldn't forget it.

Something came up and we were all talking as we were getting supper ready.

I saw the cap. I was about to give it.

The phone rang.

The water boiled.

There was the cap, again noticed.

Conversation. Sparkly asked if I had taken my pills.

I took the dog's cap.

1. I hear ya.

I have a blue blood pressure pill that I take in the morning. My cat is currently on an antibiotic, one a day in the morning, and it is also blue. Both are oblong but hers is a little skinnier. Both are kept in the same area of the kitchen.

I give her hers first. Then I am VERY careful, when I take mine, to be sure it is what I think it is.

2. That is scary

I've almost done that myself especially when I'm tired or rushing around.

4. I guess you are just lucky

that you aren't worming the dog, or giving a laxative when you have no need for one.

I can see that happening, but I have to laugh at it.
