Introducing Discussionist: A new forum by the creators of DU

Mon Dec 3, 2012, 12:08 AM

Hello.

I've been here a few years but just found this group while out wandering the halls of DU. This is our critter clan:

Talley aka The Big Dog:

She was a rescue from the pound.

Fenton and Hildegard aka The Puppies:

My wife found these two (boy and girl) while she was out walking The Big Dog. Someone had abandoned them on the street, so they live with us now.

Cosette: aka The Harp Seal:

My youngest daughter brought this one home as a kitten.

In memorium is Mewie aka The Cat I Rented My Computer Space From:

My oldest daughter brought this one home. She lived a good life for 21 years, and I certainly shed some tears when she passed. She looked like the pics I've seen of Norwegian Forest Cats, but there's no telling.

I'm currently trying to get urine smell from The Puppies out of our slab...

6. Glad you found the Pets Group.

We can always welcome another parent of furbabies.

And this is why you come here, we will always try to help:

12. Thanks for the link Curmudgeoness!

And for the welcome. We're trying Nature's Miracle first; if that doesn't work, it's on to a hydrogen peroxide/baking soda/water mix.

I'm pretty concerned about it at this point.

13. I can imagine that it is a reall problem.

Concrete is so porous, that I have no idea how long it takes to get organic liquids out.

I hope that you added us to your subscriptions, and that you join us often. Your babies are beautiful and it is wonderful that you have given homes to animals that really needed it.
