Ranger and Cancer

Ranger's tumor was big, really big. From the outside it looked like an itty, bitty thing but it was the size of a human brain. The vet said it popped out-his words and they had never seen anything quite like it. There were two different cancers but the tumor was encapsulated. Ranger is close to 12 so we opted not to have chemo since the surgeon seemed fairly confident the cancer was taken out.

Ranger runs and plays and generally poops us out. He is stronger than he has ever been and smiles all of the time. He never was a kisser until the surgery.

1. So happy the surgery worked out for Ranger.

He knows what you did for him. No wonder he turned into a kisser!

2. Hugs for you and Ranger

He will be fine....we also had a Ranger, a black lab/shepherd mix. He had three large tumors on his right front shoulder when he was 12. We only had the surgery and no chemo. Ranger lived to be nearly 16 years old and was still hiking with us one week before he passed.

3. Wonderful news!

I'm soooo happy for both you and Ranger that this appears to be the end of the cancer.

That it was encapsulated is a big plus. Best wishes that all is now well, and so glad to hear that Ranger is feeling wonderful now.
