1. Oh god, not another pet food debacle!

This is a complaints and reviews section for Beneful at the link, and if you use Beneful, please check this out. It seems to be causing seizures and other serious and deadly problems.

2. Happy to rec....

We researched the web for healthy dog food, and switched from Purina to Blue Diamond lamb and rice over a year ago.
So far, no problems.
Sounds as if Purina may have changed ingredient sources?

3. Blue Diamond Lamb and Rice is the food sold under the Kirkland label at Costco

Interestingly, they also carry the Blue Diamond labeled product right along with it.

This food (both Blue Diamond and Kirkland) was recalled just a few months ago.

ETA: This is what we feed our three.

4. four years ago when my GS was a puppy

I took her for lessons at the vet's office. The trainer said to never feed beneful and that they had numerous dogs coming in with stomach issues being fed that brand.

5. It's

just horrible and it makes me so angry to hear about ALL of the issues and recalls of pet food. We shouldn't have to worry like this about what we are feeding our pets! They are part of our family, we love them and they trust us to take care of them!

6. We fed Beneful for a bit.

I always thought it look weird and chemical-ly. Some of the pieces were unnatural colors and it smelled odd. My older dog had mild skin problems during that period. We got a new dog and he developed horrible skin allergies as well. We switched to Taste of the Wild which is an ultra-premium with no grains, and both dogs are totally better.

8. I saw this on FB

A friend posted it. It's just horrible that information about problems with Beneful isn't more widespread. I'd always been told it wasn't a good food, but I had no idea it caused siezures and such, just that it was low in quality.

So far, since the ToTW recall, Fromm dry and Merrick canned have worked for Layla. It's important to keep an eye on all dog food information though.

9. I've been feeding Welness dry and Merrick canned for years now.

I have a lot of confidence in the brands but, as the companies grow and become more commercial, shit happens.
