Has anyone in this group

ever had success in getting dogs to use an indoor litter box? Or one of the pet loos?

I'm moving soon, and have been doing research into these methods, but I'm a bit skeptical.

I work long hours at times, and though the dogs get walked frequently, I worry about the long stretch of time while I'm at work.

Looking for a solution. ...

Where I'm living now, there's always been someone to assist with letting the dogs out during my longer shifts.

That's about to change come August.

Who used puppy pads in the kitchen (vinyl floor) for years and she was fine. They worked long hours and it was mean to expect her to hold it that long. Also small dogs can't hold it as long as bigger ones. My granddog, a lab, can wait all day and be fine.
If you go this route my friend works in health care and discovered that Chux, adult incontinence pads, are cheaper than puppy pads.

3. I had to use puppy pads with my aging terrier dog before I retired.

We still occasionally use them if we're going to be gone for a long time. If we take her out to pee after 9:00 pm, she can hold it (most of the time) until 5:30 or so, which is great for a 15 yr old dog.

They can both hold it for a long time. I'm amazed actually. And my terrier is soon to be eleven!

They don't like weeing in the house. I'm very fortunate that way.

An "accident" really is an accident with them.

The female squats pretty much right in the middle, so it works fine with her. The male's aim is sometimes off.

which is why I'm a bit reluctant to use the pads.

The new place has mostly carpeting.

But, I'm thinking if worst comes to worst, a few of those vinyl runner mats under the piddle pads will work in a pinch. I can also protect the walls more this way.

9. Pet sitter?

I don't have dogs, but most pet sitters will come and do potty breaks for dogs. If affordable, might be a good solution.
Your dogs are are already used to the idea because you have a helper now. Also good for them mentally/socially.
