Update on my sick kitty

Now it's not looking like Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia anymore. Result of the ultrasound yesterday revealed mesenteric thickening of the abdomen and fluid. I think they did an x-ray today but I don't know result. The vet aspirated some of the fluid and is sending it to a lab. Results won't be known till Saturday but it doesn't look too good. Among the possibilities are peritonitis and cancer. Through it all he's eating and in the words of the vet today, "being silly." Some of that has to be because of the meds though. He's on an antibiotic, prednisone, a chemo drug (can't recall the name but it begins with C) and Pepcid.

I hope that it is something else that is not so dire. As long as he is eating and being silly, at least he is not hurting. You are doing all that you can. Keep us updated. We have all been there.
