My dog has canine copper hepatotoxicosis

Ernie was diagnosed with it 2 years ago and had been doing better after treatment and being on a new diet but his liver is failing again.

I worry that it could be his favorite activity that is making him sick. Is it possible that he ingests enough copper from the waters of the canals and bays of L.I., due to CCA lumber used in docks and bulkheads, to make him sick?

Such a cutie. Sorry to hear he's having health issues.

I have a little Rat-Terrier/Jack Russell mix who's about 17 now. His eyesight is going and it kills me.

so yes.

You really should discuss with your veterinarian. That is a beautiful Lab and hope he does well.
