I paid all of it but she's paying $2000 back to me in installments rather than do "time payments" thru the vet @ 18% interest.
Her cat Jake needed emergency bladder surgery or he would have died. He's only 3 and the surgery will allow him to lead a full, normal life.
Jake is still wearing the "cone of shame" and staying in the spare room away from their other cat and their 2-year-old. Yesterday I spent some time with him and he was all over me purring, kneading, etc. He knew.

13 years after the accident and she's still with us.
