What's for Dinner ~ Tuesday April 17th

?

We have all the fixings for Beef Fajitas, so I think that will be the winner tonight.
I'm feeling pretty awful, so I may just snack today though.

The bear is back. He meandered through my deck the other night on his search for food. I felt bad, and fought the temptation to put something out for him. He/she is looking thin. It isn't safe for them to get too used to finding food when they forage around people though.

The best outcome is relocation / re-acclimation, if that's done in your area. The worst he gets put down.

become a severe nuisance in the tourist areas. Most of us who live locally are used to them, and let them roam. We are very close to the National Park, so we see bear, and deer often.

i'm not 100 percent on dinner yet, but it will probably be chicken sausage and peppers with pasta. i've got a couple loaves of bread rising, a wheat and a white, too. my husband usually demolishes a whole loaf when i make it, so i figured i'd just start making two.

little more water, little more flour and more yeast. it's ready for the oven in about 3 hours, so i've been making it a lot more. it's been at least a few months since i've purchased bread, i'm kind of proud of that

I asked DH to go into town and get a roast chicken, but he has waited so long, they are probably all gone.

So.... I will roast my own.

She's back from maternity leave, and I'm looking forward to seeing her.

We used to grab a pre-roasted chicken to make enchiladas with, when we didn't have time to roast one first. They are sooo handy to have.
