Averted a major catastrophe in the kitchen just now

turned on the oven to preheat 450 for the meatballs. Heard the beep and went to turn it down to 350 and realized I had heated the bottom oven instead.

I had forgotten there was a pizza box in there from last week. We have to hide the boxes from my son because he'll sneak and take the whole box into his playroom when no one is looking.

The box is black and the kitchen reeks.

2. I feel lucky because it could have caught fire if I left it in there much longer.

got a beach towel and chucked the whole thing outside. Now it stinks back there, too.

I don't remember the story, you want to tell it again?

3. Well, probably put in too much rum. And there's the problem of

low ceilings.

Lesson learned, that's for sure.

my oven was a storage bin. I probably only used it once or twice a year.
