What's for Dinner, Sat., Feb. 25, 2017

Meat loaf sammich with raw onion. Chips. Slaw. Oh, and a Foster's beer. I don't think I've had a beer in over a year, so I'm really looking forward to this.

Very easy dinner 'cuz I'm so busy with building cold frames and also seeding.

Our Sunday School at the Ethical Culture Society of Bergen County (NJ) is hosting its annual charity benefit dinner to raise money for an orphanage in Uganda.

The kids make the sauces (marinara, meat, pesto, alfredo) and pasta themselves as well as dessert and antipasto.

And they sell the leftover products after the supper.

So I got an order of injera, ataking wat ( spicy cabbage, onion, potato) and misir wot(spicy lentil stew). I'm making some rice to cut heat if it'a too hot tasting for me
The smells are amazing.

I didn't want to cook after cleaning the entire kitchen. Stovetop, 2 ovens, floor, all now clean enough to eat off of. So I took a break and let others cook for me. T'was nice, although I think I had too much sake.

Banzai!

Morning coffee never tasted so good.

Oy.
