with mac n' cheese (Stouffer's). I made a three-bean salad this morning, so that ought to be well marinated by the time supper rolls around.

Thanks Aerows and NJCher - now _I_ have tacos on the brain! Maybe tomorrow...

so we wound up doing spaghetti instead, tonight. I've got a package of steaks thawed out that I found languishing at the bottom of the chest freezer when I was rearranging, so that's tomorrow. Hope it's good enough grilling weather, supposed to be a bit cooler than the last week or so.

Finally got most of the brick path that had been buried by Dad's back lawn cleaned up and cleared today, only part still left covered by weeds and grass is the small patio right next to his shed.

tomatoes are a combination of San Marzanos and black plum tomatoes from the garden, peppers, onions, garlic, basil, etc. The ever-present field peas, and tomato salad (small sweet cherry tomatoes).

We have a pile of field peas on the table that is about the size of VW and they aren't finished yet. We have outgrown our freezer space and have branched out to my brother's and niece's freezers. We're well-fixed for peas for winter.
Need some new recipes for field peas.

or I would be shelling peas all day long. My sister (in jest) said I was just trying to find an excuse to get out of shelling peas!

I think we are going to listen to Louise Erdrich's The Round House on audiobooks while we are shelling this afternoon.

for transporting those kitties! I always love to meet new cats.

The Round House sounds like a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon, said the English teacher. I love a good mystery. I used to travel that area as a territory manager in one of my first jobs out of college.
