Hey, it's clown debate night, so I'm planning on a salad and sesame-ginger broccoli for dinner. That should be sufficiently light so that when 9 p.m. rolls around, I'll be up for a slice of pizza.
I'm inviting a friend, as the RG had to take off for D.C. This friend has a talent for selecting interesting beers, so that will be his contribution. Mine will be the pizza.

(14,733 posts)it's rainy and actually sorta cool here. Had a shock to the system last night. Friends of the housemate were swinging through, so we went out to meet them, ate at 'The Cheesecake Factory'. Good tasting food, probably not very healthy, and a lot of it. Shockingly high bill even for just the two of us, since her friends paid for themselves. Probably about 4x as high as our generic meals out to places like Bob Evans, so I'm thinking we might not be eating out again this month.

Anyway, keep that up and you'll look like Wubby (see above, Chris Christie).

(2,016 posts)I've got extra pepperoni and veggies to throw on the pizza, tho.
(Gratefully, I'll be missing the Clown Show - I'll see what the blogs say tomorrow morning.)
And as for Cheesecake Factory... I agree with the above comments. I went once 10 years ago, and never went back. [Hey, it was a date...who can't resist a good cheesecake? It worked.]

(106,886 posts)Cheese 'n crackers, Jalapenos wrapped in smoked ham. Hummus with Romaine lettuce "scoops". Sweet cherry tomatoes. Blue cheese stuffed olives. Cucumber slabs. Chips 'n horseradish dip. Watermelon wedges with mint.
I almost bought a pint of Irish whiskey to add to the table, but passed.
Plenty of food to snack through a movie if I have to bail on the big show...I'm going to give it a look though.
