I made my very first purchase

with a food co-op today! My veggies and fruit will be delivered for pick up on saturday! I am so excited! My basket will have a large amount of blueberries and a veggie BBQ pack ( squash, red and yellow peppers, portabella mushrooms) also some fresh sour dough bread!

Anyone else participate in such a thing? This is my first time!

there isn't one in my city now (which is surprising), but there is one in a little town about 20 minutes away and the pick up is a time i can make, so i'm really considering it now.

let us know how it is

Kinda of overwhelmed! There is ALOT of it!

The product is very fresh and clean. My basket had 23 packages of blueberries! Whoa! Anyway, I got seven large oranges, two small watermelon, 12 large lemons, 6 large mangos. 4 ears of corn, 12 hatch chilies, 4 portabella mushrooms, 2 packages of cherry toms, 3 bushels green onions, 1 large head of romaine, 2 cucumbers, 1 acorn squash and 6 red, yellow and orange peppers. Oh, and 3 shallots.

4 loaves of multi grain bread and one jalapeno cheese baguette!

WHEW! It's a darn good thing I'm a veggie! Still had to share some with my neighbors! I'm not sure if this is going to work for me. I am afraid that I will not be able to freeze or eat all this produce before it goes bad. It's a good value and it's VERY fresh. I think it would be great for large families. We'll see how the week goes food wise.

The options for produce were really limited in my location, and this worked out perfectly.

The quality was really high and the variety just great.

It was a little more than I would have liked to pay, but it really was worth it.

Enjoy!

They've already taken the first installment payment out of my checking account but I don't get my first package until June 9th. I'm hoping having fresh fruits and veggies delivered to me at work will make it worth the wait.
