(side note) Cook fest. I'm joining in - family reunion / get-together for my niece's wedding.

We're all sharing a house for a few days. My sis and her husband, both of my brothers and their former spouses - still family, various nieces and nephews.

We old timers all lived together for a few years in the "big house" in Massachusetts. Three stories and a big kitchen. Cooking was always a group event.

There will be my favorite niece's wedding itself, of course, that's the big treat. I'm also looking forward to 3 days of kitchen stuff, though.

1. Sounds like a great time. Enjoy!

I love family get togethers, especially when a joyous occasion is being celebrated, and good food is even better when shared with loved ones.

6. I remember that. I'm putting my suggestion in for my Texas brother and I for breakfast.

7. We did that in Charleston for my niece's wedding.

It was a huge house and we had so much fun. The group cooking was mostly for breakfast since we all went our own way for sightseeing during the day. All of the wedding guests were from PA or VA so bodies were everywhere for sleeping and the bathroom logistics were tricky. It was a blast! I hope you have a blast too.
