1. Valentine's Day lunch with my wife (our fave Indian place). Tonight - leftovers!

Hoppin' John (from New Years Dinner - we froze half of it!) over brown rice. Big lunch, light dinner!

Happy Valentine's Day all!

5. Sounds like fun!

You are smart to go for lunch. In our neck of the woods, the eateries take this day as an opportunity to bump their prices up about 20% for dinners. Also smart to have a light dinner!

7. we love going out for lunch - same quality food, far less prices, easier to digest when eating

earlier! As we've gotten older (and more into shape), we no longer can eat those big restaurant dinners like we used to!

8. I definitely get that.

We reminisce about the days when we would eat 13 bagels on Sunday! We are much healthier now and small portions are the rule. Restaurant portions are ridiculously so huge that I find myself satisfied with an well garnished appetizer.

10. I'm laying out the lace tablecloth for this one.

And polishing the silver candlesticks. The work is mainly done with the main course steeping in its own juices overnight. I just have to bring it up while I make the veggies. A piece of cake!

Sorry you'll be alone tonight. If you were closer I'd invite you to drink wine and eat veggies with us! Tax season is a beast!

18. Thanks! I would love it

. Things are slowing down at the tax office....his schedule may be down to 3 days next week. They have this peak period that lasts about three weeks and that is coming to an end this week. I shouldn't say this on Valentine's Day, but I really enjoy having all this time to myself! Well, myself and the dogs, that is.

20. I know what you mean.

I always enjoy a little vacation from routine housewifery when Mr. Pup is out of pocket. I have to redo our taxes. I e-filed on Turbo Tax and then got a piddly statement from Amazon from my book (that isn't selling!) for $123 last year. Doh! Now I have to file an amended return by mail. I hope they don't charge me an arm and a leg for the amendment. Putting all that aside for Valentine's Day and planning to have a good dinner and some prime cuddling.

12. Skillet meal - Breaded chicken parmigiana style over rice.

I really like doing one pot meals. Well browned, breaded chicken thighs, then covered in sauce and cheeses and into the oven to finish.

May add some broccoli to the skillet. Left over rice, reheated.

33. Homemade chicken noodle soup and chicken sandwiches.

Going to America wore me completely out. DH wanted to take me out, but I would rather stay home and eat comfort food.

I told him he could take me out Friday or Saturday, lol.

Happy Valentines Day!!
