(146,218 posts)A friend just finished installing a fireplace on her boat, which is pretty cool. She was planning a small party, but haven't heard from her.
If it's off, we will have pork chops with peaches and something else on the side (rice?).
Getting very low on produce and meat, but I got my shipment of cheese yesterday!

I like to see what people buy.

(146,218 posts)Abbot's Cheddar with Mustard Seed
Danbo
Frantal Emmental
Goat Gouda
Huntsman
Lappi
Malagon with Rosemary
Marygold
Roth Kase Gran Queso
Wensleydale with Apricots
Wexford Mature Cheddar
Windsor Red
All of these are from the sale section. I can't get the highly perishable ones (bries and the like), because it always takes an extra day to get to my location.
I plan to make fondue with the Emmental and Lappi. I also plan to hold on to the Huntsman for a couple of months, because they say it improves with further aging.
I feel very, very cheese rich right now.

Priceless!

(31,170 posts)I've been craving cheese the past couple of days.
Can't decide if I want a snackable hunk of white cheddar, or if I want to make something hot, cheesy & gooey.

(146,218 posts)I recently made a bean salad with just one of the suckers chopped up and about a teaspoon of the sauce and it was pretty hot.
I just recently read that you can freeze them, which makes me happy because I generally ended up using one chile from the can and throwing the rest out.

(16,334 posts)some bites more than others and with added toppings, they could eat them. However, husband has said we should add something to the remaining chicken to absorb some of the bite.
Funny thing is, I think I've done this before! HA!

(106,886 posts)I halve and scoop out the potato, blend with all the fillings and stuff back into the baked skins. Top with a good dose of black pepper and some parsley. Swimming in cherry tomatoes, so probably a side of slices with basil, olive oil.
(Often add bacon and garlic to this, but I've kind of OD'd on both recently...)

(22,140 posts)Do you broil the potato after restuffing it, or just eat it as is? Either way, I am going to try this combo

(31,170 posts)My mom used to empty them, add a variety of things in, top with cheese, and then re-bake it until the tops browned. They were good that way too.

I do snag a bite or two from time to time, and it's always as good as I remembered!

(31,170 posts)a few years ago.
I use masa when I make tamales, and we use corn tortillas with our enchiladas, so I am careful to just have a little bit at one meal. I'd eat corn daily if I could!

(4,074 posts)chain). They make a lot of there own stuff including bread, cheeses, and potato chips. I got some fresh made salt and vinegar potato chips. I made sandwiches with fresh ciabatta rolls(they were still warm when I bought them), fresh made mozzarella, roasted peppers and tomatoes, fresh basil, and mayo. It was very good and very easy. I also picked up a caramel walnut apple pie. That was excellent.

I was going to do the other day. Simple toppings w/Mozzarella Cheese, sausage, homemade marinara and peppers from the garden I had pickled earlier this month. I watched the videos Stinky the Clown provided so I felt confident I knew what I was doing. The verdict: I'm never buying another commercial pizza again. It was absolutely the BEST pizza I've ever had. VERY easy to make and cheap too -- EASILY under $5.00 and it made 2 meals for both of us.
Lucinda
(31,170 posts)you have dough ready.
I usually make enough dough for 6 pizzas and then just store it in the fridge until I'm ready for it. Dinner in minutes!

(22,271 posts)While I have the stand mixer and all the ingredients out, I might as well make several batches.
Lucinda
(31,170 posts)we can have pizza several days in a row before getting tired of it, and the dough keeps well in the fridge.
