I keep being astonished at my own resilience. Having Chris vanish out of my life has been the toughest loss so far.

And with the primary season being as brutal as it is, and with my own physical health issues running roughshod over my spirits, I honestly don't know why I'm coping.

But I am.

it's that you are. sometimes the best we can do is drop it down a gear and power it up that hill.

know that you are strong and that you are loved

I completed a partial hospitalization program in January. The first week after was ok, but everyday since then it has been a fight not to slide too far backwards.

So I will do what I can...and that is send virtual hugs and love and support to anyone who wants it. In real life I do give good hugs...I am soft and squishy, squeezable like Charmin.

I'm here. Fighting my health issues. So grateful for good Drs. and especially grateful to the American Red Cross and all the blood donors for the copious amounts of blood I'm consuming. On average a pint every 2 weeks.

The worst is the lack of contact with family afar and the world in general. But I'm getting by.

Some days harder than others, some days decisively better than others.

Looking forward to Springtime and sunshine. That's got to help.

Glad you're doing so well Fizgig.

my anxiety is pretty high, but oddly the depression seems okay. I heard birds chirping this morning when I let the dog out at 4:45 am...it was nice for a second, then I realized, the one chirping the loudest was telling every other bird, my branch! and if you come near by, I'll poke your f-ing eyes out. Okay, so maybe the depression isn't totally controlled....

boy, not being tied to a psycho makes life so much better. the last 2 years, trudging through this divorce were so damned hard.
but i got a really good settlement in the end. the money has opened up a whole new venture for me. my sister and bil just started flipping houses. they were paying an arm and a leg for their financing. so i am lending them money, secured by the properties, and making a tidy sum for myself.
just invested in a nice little rental property right across the alley from my house, too.
making my own decisions about money is a very empowering thing.

I'm kind of new around the forum and didn't get around to checking out this portion till a couple of days ago.

I'm badly struggling lately and it's nice to know there's a place with people who understand.

Stay safe, folks.
