TVSeries.net is it safe and legal?
Little Star in the TV Chat forum suggested I ask this question here too. I recently read about this site. Come October Direct TV will be airing a new show exclusive to their subscribers. It features my favorite actor and I would like to see it, however, I do not have Direct TV and don't wish at this point to change my television service provider. However, a fellow fan of this actor said she Googled "Roque" a series currently produced by Direct TV and it does air on the site TVSeries.Net.
She said she couldn't find any additional information on whether this site was safe and legal? DU has always been a font of information for me on internet, television, and tech issues, so I was wondering if any one knew anything about this site?
I really want to see this series come October but don't want to use any illegal sites or sites that may harm my P.C. I don't even know for sure if they will air it but just in case I wanted to check it out.
So I was wondering if anyone here knows if it is a legit site?

(5,935 posts)I wouldn't register an account there (Even though their privacy policy says they won't sell personal information, see their terms of use: "You also grant us the right to disclose to third parties certain Registration Data about you. The information we obtain through your use of this site, including your Registration Data" . I didn't see a way to register an account.
I have a pretty well-insulated Windows system, so after searching for and not finding references to the site being unsafe and a few saying it is safe, I watched a few partial videos and two full videos using Google Chrome. Everything worked well, and after running some quick scans using a few different types of security software, I came up with zero issues. I am not saying it's clean. I'm saying my system couldn't detect anything.
I imagine it's possible that after watching a certain amount of shows, I'll be required to register. But I clicked on five "Weeds" episodes and two full "Glades" episodes and was able to watch them.
Watch-tvseries.net has a Facebook page listing its newest episodes. The page only has about 1,300 followers. There are very few likes, and not comments on any of the entries. The Facebook page has been online since Feb. 2012. There are no ads on the actual site. I'm wondering about how they make money, given that they seem to have many full series of popular shows.
Here's Webutation's analysis of the site: http://www.webutation.net/go/review/watch-tvseries.net

(7,549 posts)I will definitely not register then. Don't need any more spam issues. That is curious about them not having ads on site, seems like they would have to get revenue from somewhere. That's good information to know too about the Facebook book page too.
Thanks for the link as well. I will check that out.

They don't require sign in or registration to use their website and to watch movies and tv shows. I believe that it is illegal to host movies and tv shows. If I am not wrong is it safe to use these websites.?
