1. Yes. If you can, watch it from the very beginning.

5. Awesome. The hubs is camping next weekend so that's how I'll spend my time.

It's his annual Bah Humbug guy thing.

2. I love shows that feed my nostalgia or are "period pieces" --Good acting and real to the time

This past season might have been a little "slower" than previous, but it is still among my favorites.

8. No.

I saw a few episodes and was not impressed. I'm in advertising and didn't find it realistic at all.

9. Good to know.

Are there any shows or movies that you would recommend to offset the lack of realism of Mad Men?

All I know about advertising is what I saw of Darrin Stevens and Larry Tate at the office and my own perception about advertising as it pertains to the tobacco industry and big pharma, i.e., somewhat evil, so I'm open to suggestions.

10. I couldn't get past the First Episode awhile ago..but with all the Hooplah about it

I probably will take a second look at it.

It's revived the "Martini Era" for the youngest...I think it means there's something there in it that has caught on with a generation far removed from the time. So...I feel I need to watch a least a couple more episodes to see if it seems to be more than the first one.
