1. Don't have any experience with anything but Netflix
|
But I like it. Streaming is a little limited, but quality is good.

2. ditto

I've just glanced at the freebee offerings at Amazon and wasn't impressed so far. I enjoy some of the obscure films and the old series on netflix.

3. I signed up for a free week of Hulu.
|
I had to finish up with Supernatural, and I found several episodes of season 7 on Hulu. Not only was it not the complete season, it had commercials!
Bummed me out. Netflix has an amazing number of series that I'm enjoying, e.g., Murdoch Mysteries, The Glades, Murder in Suburbia, and of course Supernatural and Dark Shadows (which is what I have had under my eyes since moving my laptop into my bedroom and streaming series episodes into the wee hours of the morning). I can't seem to turn the damned thing off. |

7. We're into Ep 6 of Murdoch Mysteries.
|
It's pretty good so far. A pleasant change from Star Trek: Enterprise, which we just finished.

4. I use Netflix the most, even though I also subscribe to HuluPlus.
|
I watch mostly movies and documentaries on Netflix and some TV on Hulu (Daily Show, Colbert Report, SNL).
I generally don't get any regular tv, but these two services do most of what I want. |

5. Netflix still has the best (biggest) selection
|
but I also have and use Amazon Prime and Acorn Media. Haven't found Hulu or Hulu Plus too useful but that's my particular taste.

6. I dumped Netflix last month and went with Amazon
|
first of all, Amazon is cheaper! and since I live in spitting distance of NoWhere, I shop on Amazon a lot so the prime shipping is something i'll enjoy having.
it seemed all the stuff I wanted from Netflix was DVD only and I just had the streaming service. APrime has all the old shows hubby loves (Numbers, Eureka, Star Treks, etc) and plenty of British stuff too. they don't have everything NF does yet, but they are gaining ground rapidly and even if I spend a couple bucks once in a while to pay for a series, it's still saving me $$$ |
