To the Ends of the Earth

I've become a big fan of Benedict Cumberbach and go out of my way to watch anything he is in. This three part BBC program takes place predominantly on a 19th century ship bound for Australia. A lot of colorful characters, a fair amount of action, and exceptional performances.

Really didn't think I would care much for it - Downton Abby was a solid 2 stars for me - but Sherlock Holmes is great!

There are only three episodes on streaming though ; (

on PBS and as good as Season 1 was, the 2nd season is even better. All three of the episodes are available for streaming on PBS until June 19th.

To the Ends of the Earth is nothing like Downton Abbey. It is much grittier, with a fair amount of action and it takes place in the early 1800's. It is less about etiquette and society and more about survival on a broken down ship with an unusual cast of characters.
