about her TED talk -- will they see it, will they be horrified?

Melinda said she knows the nuns who taught her are going to see the TED talk because she's going to send the video to them.

"They were incredibly progressive & I hope that they will be proud of me for living out what they had taught us about social justice & service."

I've been away from the Church for years but I think it is great to see a practicing Catholic, especially one as influential as her, speaking out on this issue.

"They were incredibly progressive & I hope that they will be proud of me for living out what they had taught us about social justice & service." Very well-said.

When one's priorities are put in the correct order, everything else falls into place, morally speaking.

If a woman doesn't want a lot of children, she has a right to decide for herself. As Melinda pointed out, men in African countries generally like to have a lot of children. The problem is, the women's chances of getting contraceptives is a hit & miss situation. Many women have to walk miles to get them, but they are available only sporadically.
