The imperious snark is going to have unfortunate consequences. A rereading of Susan Faludi's "Backlash" might be in order.

She is not saying "get used to it". You are. I sense an attitude of someone who feels they must rub someone else's nose in the same crap they had to endure.

If you think the inverse of snark is "humble and unassuming", then you really should read Backlash. Just like we've seen the racism come bubbling over with the election of Obama, so will we see misogyny and a a celebration of patriarchy surge with Clinton in the White House.

After Backlash, you might also check out The Chalice and The Blade: Our History, Our Future by Riane Eisler. The solution to moving past our dominion model of men isn't the imposition of a dominion model of women, but the fostering of a partnership model.

Because someone said, "Get used to it."

This campaign is really making some people irrational. It's really freaking out a certain type of people.

Once again, if the intention is to win over those who aren't already enthusiastic supporters, this is not the way to do it. In fact, it's the imperious entitlement embedded in it that makes it clear that she doesn't really need to woo any more voters. This makes it really easy for someone not convinced to vote for her that there's no need to. She's going to be President, no matter what.

But it definitely won't win over any of them.

Maybe something a bit more conciliatory, more in line with extolling her virtues, the good things she'll do as President would convince some of them to vote for her.

Otherwise, such a slogan just hardens feelings against her, and if she hopes to be an effective President, there needs to be something that reaches out and welcomes. Otherwise, what will be seen in that slogan is a big "Fuck you!" Not a good way to set the tone for the next four or eight years.

then why would you ever complain about the tone anyone else uses? The complaints about Bernie's supporters and how they dissed Hillary, the complaints about how the Donald treats everyone with contempt?

A few phrases come to mind here:
You reap what you sow
What goes around comes around

And then there's the classic about doing unto others.

that shows the genuine joy you feel at her winning? Rather than something that is a giant FU?

Something more on the order of

Madame President
How I like the sound of that

Plus, at the risk of again annoying you, most of the time what was interpreted as hate was simple fact.
