A planned drag performance at the University of San Diego was called "sexually perverse" by a USD graduate trying to get the show canceled.
Lawyer Charles LiMandri wrote a letter to university president Mary Lyons urging for her to stop the show, scheduled for Wednesday and starring the performer Tootie.
"The teachings on Catholic social justice do not align with this event, and anyone with a formed Christian conscience cannot approve an event that is sexually perverse," LiMandri wrote.

I do hate busybodies. I wish there were a way to make that illegal.

(15,024 posts)I think of that every time I read of someone wasting time and effort obsessed by wanting to dictate what college students should be involved with, or worse, what high school students shouldn't read.
Of all the important issues there are in the world over which someone can get apoplectic with rage about, the theatrical interests of college students has to rate somewhere beneath the bottom of the list.
Or would, of course, if the list were compiled by the 65 children who died just now in the few moments it took me to write this post.
