I don't think that the parents should be judged on the one interview. It may just be that they used she/her because he's gone. If they were supportive of the transition it could just be from grief.

Regardless, what a sad story. We have to break through the bigotry. We're losing too many children.

Anyone who doesn't think homophobia kills, think again. The stigma and pressure put on our LGBT youth is enormous and in most places, any kind of support system is non-existent.
