“Firefly” Star Adam Baldwin Compares Gay Marriage To Incest

Adam Baldwin garnered praise for his roles in Full Metal Jacket, and Joss Whedon’s Angel and Firefly, but his online outburst against marriage equality isn’t making him a ton of fans on the Web.

Today, Baldwin—no relation to Alec, Stephen, et al—tweeted that same-sex marriage was on par with incest and fraud.

The 52-year-old actor claims to have been a Democrat since back in 1980, but now considers himself a “small government conservative libertarian.” He has written for Huffington Post and Breitbart.

5. Without starting a fight, and not defending what he has written..

there are many actors that seem to play a hero or a genuine person of character in the movies or in daily life only to be found out later to be an complete asshole.

They're actors. They do what they do for money and not because they have a deep moral base.

Schwarzenegger always played the hero on the right path, but that was just acting.

6. Every role I've seen Balwin play from Firefly to Chuck

He has been a jerk of a hero. He may save the day but his attitude towards other human beings was less than stellar. It makes me wonder when an actor plays the same kind of roles over and over again if that is just who they are. Now some actors are able to play any kind of role so immersing themselves into the character that they disappear. I place Balwin in the John Wayne bucket- what you see is what you get and there is little depth to the actor.
