Trans anti-discrimination bill introduced in Maryland

Sen. Richard Madaleno of Montgomery County has introduced Senate Bill 449, the "Fairness for All Marylanders Act," which would extend our state's anti-discrimination laws (which already cover sexual orientation) to prohibit discrimination in housing, employment, and service on the basis of gender identity. After the inspiring victory of marriage equality last year, I'm hopeful that this bill will take us one step further. HB 438 only barely squeaked by last year, so I'm not counting my eggs just yet, but this is a very encouraging sign.
