Ghana Official: Homosexuality Will Be "A Thing of the Past"

An education official in Ghana who in the past has blamed homosexuality on “single-sex schools” is reportedly claiming that HIV education will curb the number of gay people in the country.

Via the Accra Mail, Pink News writes:

A spokesman for Ghana’s Education Ministry has told the Accra Mail he is confident a programme in which teachers warn students of the “adverse consequences” of being gay will make it “a thing of the past”.

Paul Krampah, a Public Relations Officer, said his department’s HIV/AIDS Secretariat had been training teachers to educate students on the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.

If gay-bashing male deer in Texas haven't succeeded in suppressing gay deer in Texas, it is unlikely that these guys are going to succeed.

We help support a victims of torture program at work. I've been told that some of the immigrants in it are there because they are gay.
