Pioneer of global peace studies hints at link between Norway massacre and Mossad

Johan Galtung, Norwegian sociologist nicknamed the “father of peace studies,” made anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli remarks while lecturing at the University of Oslo, in an article published afterward in the Norwegian press and in an interview with Haaretz that followed.

Among other statements, Galtung claimed that a possible connection exists between the terrorist responsible for the massacre of children in Norway last summer, and the Mossad. “The Jews control U.S. media, and divert for the sake of Israel,” wrote Galtung in an article published in Norway.

He pointed out that one of the factors behind the anti-Semitic sentiment that led to Auschwitz was the fact that Jews held influential positions in German society.
Galtung also recommended reading “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” – one of the most popular anti-Semitic texts in the world.

Accusations of anti-Semitism

Further controversy erupted in 2011 and 2012 in the pages of the Journal of the Norwegian Humanist Association where Galtung is accused of repeatedly making anti-Semitic remarks. [28] Initially at a lecture by Galtung at the University of Oslo in 2011 and subsequently in a follow up article written by Galtung and also published in the Journal of the Norwegian Humanist Association. [29] Haaretz published an article Pioneer of global peace studies hints at link between Norway massacre and Mossad April 30th, 2012 levelling further accusations at Galtung including quotes from an email exchange between Galtung and the paper.

Amongst the statements causing the accusations directed at Galtung are his claim of a possible link between Mossad and Anders Behring Breivik and the possibility that Breivik may have been acting on orders from Mossad when committing the Norway massacre. Galtung is also accused of promoting the notorious anti-Semitic forgery Protocols of the Elders of Zion as well as for justifying “terrible Auschwitz” on the basis that it should have been predicted in a society where Jews occupied so many key niches. Galtung is also purported to have claimed that the Jews control the American media. Galtung is also said to have said that he cannot read Protocols of the Elders of Zion without making a connection to the investment bank Goldman Sachs and that he challenges that the Protocols of the Elders of Zion is a forgery. The fact that those two paragraphs are buried at the bottom of the article and are written using "weasel words" not found in the rest of the piece (i.e. "purported to", "accused of", etc).

Ha'aretz, however, is pretty definitive that such a link was indeed hinted at.

Galtung bases his doctrine on an article written by William Luther Pierce, founder of the “National Alliance,” a white supremacist organization. The same article inspired Timothy McVeigh to carry out the Oklahoma City bombings that killed 168 people in 1995.

would that be peace studies? it seems so without further explanation and perhaps that is what should be believed, what do you think?
