BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) – Palestinian UN envoy Riyad Mansour is still trying to convince member states of the Security Council to vote in favor of a draft resolution seeking to set a timeframe for ending the Israeli occupation by 2016.

Mansour is involved in talks with four European states over the wording of the draft resolution Palestine is set to submit to the UN Security Council, he told Ma’an Sunday evening.

France, he added, is negotiating on behalf of Britain, Luxemburg, and Lithuania.

Asked about the United States’ opposition to the resolution, Mansour said Palestine was adamant to submit the draft resolution.

Perhaps the USA will let the UN send a message to Bibi the baby-killer chickenshit Netanyahu and sit this one out.
