What is the first thing that comes up in your mind when think of Korea?

Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism held a survey about the '2nd Korean wave and image of Korea' in October and November for 3600 people in 9 countries (China, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, US, Brazil, France, UK, and Russia). The first thing that comes up in the mind of foreigners is Korean cuisine. The second is Korean dramas, third is K-pop and electronics. Of course, there are differences between regions. In Asia, Drama and K-pop was popular. In the Americas, Korean cuisine and electronic products was well-known. In Europe, the Korean War and electronic products was what foreigners thought of. Korean food and cultural assets of Korea will act as the cornerstone for promoting Korea, a small, yet a strong country.

The TV series that lasted longer than the war is the first thing that comes to mind.

I haven't the foggiest idea about Korean culture, business or people. Pretty typical self-centered ugly American aren't I?

the wife of a patient we were taking from coma through rehab. We used to ride the bus together at the end of my shift.

She was a really nice lady, great sense of humor.

The tune is catchy, the beat is irresistible, and he is making fun of Korea's 1%. What is not to like?

A Gangnam style smiley would be fun.

Summer in Korea is almost unbearably hot.

In June of the year I was there, my sergeant apologized but I was getting sent on a special detail.

Turns out the distribution center for all the Army grocery stores in Korea is in Seoul, and I had to go count everything in the freezer. It took two weeks - one in the walk-in, one counting the display cases. WhenI was done Possum asked me what I thought.

"Can I go back?"
