I have no problem with the figures if the science backs them up. A half percent increase in CO2 in a year is huge. I'd like to see if this pans out, if other measurements come into the same range. If they do, we are truly screwn. And that's ignoring the multiple positive feedback contributions due to Arctic methane, reduced albedo due to loss of polar ice, and other things.

But the Repugs think this is all about Al Gore, who after all, is a Democrat. Might as well say he's...

on edit: Obligatory real science caveat. Data is cited to five significant digits which is likely beyond the accuracy of the measurements. Only review by other climatologists will attest to the accuracy of these findings.

I have not read the paper, nor am qualified to critique it. But others who are qualified will do so and a consensus will happen. In the meantime relax. But this does not look good.
