(28,394 posts)It is not your decision and you could alienate your son by continuing to discourage his dream.
People said the same thing in the 1970s. They probably said the same thing in the 1870s. No one can see into the future.
BTW, we are welcoming a grandchild into the world this year and have no fear for her future.
