[font size=3]Bromide has been found in rivers in Pennsylvania and scientists are scrambling to find out whether it’s associated with hydraulic fracturing of the Marcellus Shale[HR]…

FRAZIER: So does this mean that water from hydraulic fracturing wasn't really a problem in the first place? That's what some plant operators are saying. One of these operators is Paul Hart, who owns three oil and gas wastewater treatment plants. Hart declined to speak on tape for this story. But off the air he said DEP used "bad science" in asking drillers to steer clear of his plant. But Van Briesen, of Carnegie Mellon, disagrees.

VAN BRIESEN: We know this wastewater has bromide in it. Any waste you take out of the system that contains bromide will reduce amount of bromide in the basin.

FRAZIER: In the spring, the EPA will tighten its standards for trihalomethanes--those carcinogens formed by bromides that end up in drinking water. That has water plant operators, like States, worried.

I think the only people making out in PA are TX/OK gas companies, hookers, bars & meth labs.

There are no real jobs for PA residents, & traffic in the country sucks. I ride m/c's & in the old days 3-4 hundred miles in a day was a nice weekend get away. I would spend money on food, beer, gas, hotels & camping. No more. I am registered on sport-tour.net & US rt 6 was considered one of the nicest roads in amerika. Now Rt6 from the Del river to the Susquehanna River are packed with trucks hauling drilling stuff.

I will not ride on these roads with that many dangerous trucks in the way. My money does not get spent in areas of PA that need it cause just getting there is too dangerous.

I am looking to relocate to Vermont & probably stay in VT,NH & Maine for the rest of my days. There is no coal gas or oil up there & all you need is a well & septic system & virtually anywhere up there would be safe & nice.

The aspect of fracking that really concerns me is PA & NY may be needed as critically important food production area & all the water & soil may be too contaminated to be useful. This is my greatest fear, but when hunger strikes america it may get so violent & bloody that revolution may be at hand.

This may be worse than heavy truck traffic.

I’ve seen the ads for pad construction.

As for the possibility of violence… yes… it’s something I fear, but don’t yet expect… (perhaps I am naive.)

Nobody was tired of dictators, hunger did it.

When I nag GOP offices I tell em, "You were lucky to have nice white non violent types to pummel, next time well armed, skilled fighters from urban areas will be joining them soon, then you better watch it".

After saying this to a woman from Sen Toomey's office, she dropped the phone & sounded like she had a bad case of the vapors.
I guess she was heading for the Fainting Couch.

If the Gop'ers steal this election, end SS & medicare I have no doubts they will be hounded, in ways I am afraid to describe.
