Blanche Lincoln, Former Arkansas Senator, Hired By Walmart
>>>
Former Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.) has been hired by Walmart as an outside consultant, according to Politico Influence. The senator, who is billed as a "special policy advisor" with Alston & Bird, is now free to lobby the Senate, having left the upper chamber two years ago. > Lincoln received some $96,600 from Walmart employees, their family members and the company's PAC during her political career, according to Influence Explorer. As a senator, she opposed the Employee Free Choice Act, which would have made it easier for workers to form unions; Walmart hired one of her former staffers to lobby against the bill. >>> http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/02/20/blanche-lincoln-walmart_n_2726964.html I thought she always worked for Walmart?

1. You see, it isn't corruption if you wait a few years to get paid!

This is the way it works in American politics.

2. All politics is local.

If Walmart wasn't located in AR, she wouldn't have gotten a dime from the employees during her elected career, she would not have focused on their issues, and they wouldn't have hired her.

5. Arkansas is the 3rd poorest state in the country
|
Blanche Lincoln never represented the "employees" of Walmart or any other working families in AR. She was a corporate shill for the Walton family.

8. Former Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE) was against EFCA too
|
Had he decided to retire much sooner, we might have passed EFCA with him knowing he wasn't running again. |
