Don't get semantic here. All layoffs are due to republian economic policies, specifically Reaganomics and the GW Bush tax cuts. Most businesses who are pro-Obama actually will benefit, because they already had all their Obamacare ducks in a row, and I dispute your prognosis that businesses that were pro-Obama layed off their workforce with the same veracity as the republican ingrates.

If necessary, we need to ensure that the company management come up with rules to ensure that the employees do not get hosed. We can actually appropriate company assets and copyrights to broker the payments until we can get them retrained for green jobs.

While it sucks in the short-term for those laid-off, how do these ideological "businessmen" plan to service the demand for their product or service? And the problem grows ... when a company has to turn down a job because they can't service the project (especially when the reason they can't was a publicized non-business related; but rather, an ideological reason), the market will tend to over-look them for the next project ... it costs time and money to let out projects.
