1. Hi
|
It is a good feeling.
It is a little frustrating that there have been sooo many times where long threads praised Kerry for some real accomplishment or a good talk show appearance where there is surprise how good he is/was. It is strange reading the serious articles that praise his diplomatic skill - pointing out that he is unusual in that he actually listens and respects others and articles that praise his careful attempts to find common ground when these skills have been obvious since he was in Vietnam and/or in the peace movement. Not to mention, he was so eloquent, serious and skilled in how he managed the protest that culminated in the SFRC speech that he had serious news people asking him - at 27 if he wanted to be President. The fact is that Deval Patrick was right when - in addition to being negative on the 2004 campaign - that the American people never were allowed to actually get to know Kerry. In addition, he referred to him as uncommonly decent. The fact is that in what ever position he has served, is serving or will serve, he is an American treasure. |

3. It is MORE than a little frustrating...

...especially with Kerry's long history of service and involvement in our country's leadership, that people don't better know his positive traits: His integrity, decency, work ethic, perseverance (especially through challenging situations), patriotism, diplomatic skills, intelligence and knowledge of really sophisticated subjects...on and on.
The fact that we here have done the research (karynnj) You are right that he is an American treasure. I hope history will someday recognize all he has done for our country. |

4. hi gang

I do look in here from time to time.
Funny how, now that the GOP has its very own genuinely out-of-touch, rich elitist candidate that nobody is saying so--when back in '04 that was all they could talk about in referencing JK. Who was anything but. I don't think they even like to mention that he's associated with MA. What hippocrites. |

5. Hi, ginnyinWI ! Glad to...
|
...hear from you!
I agree with you on the hippocracy. I can barely watch the cable TV stuff this time around...it's so disgusting. What helps me is seeing that JK clearly has an important role on the Dem side. At least Dems seem to highly value his leadership. |

6. Hi, Everyone!
|
I look at this forum every day! I feel the same mix of pride in JK and frustration with the continuing lack of media and therefore often public perception of him and his work that you are all expressing.
I can see now where the cohort of lifetime supporters and friends that surrounded him in his presidential campaign came from. John Kerry is a loyal and true public servant to the country and lives the same way in his life, never deserting his friends. That quality inspires the same in the people whose lives he touches. No matter how frustrated I get with misconceptions about JK, I'm proud to be his loyal supporter and especially proud to stand with all of you here, who show the same qualities I admire in him! |

...post. I agree with you about our DUJK group. Just the fact that we are still around after such a long time demonstrates our loyalty and perseverance to what the Senator stands for.
Great to 'see' you! |
