So glad to have finally learned it was there.

It's wonderful to discover, after looking for more information, that this spectacular area is closed to the public. The amazing flora, fauna, and INDIGENOUS PEOPLE there need protection. Hope they continue to get it.

2. I lived in an area just like this, next to the first foothills range of the Andes.

The amount of energy unexploited in water power is astounding. Small electrical generation is a real possible bright future in the Andes east slope.
