Denounced in Argentina Persecution against Cristina Fernandez

Denounced in Argentina Persecution against Cristina Fernandez

Buenos Aires, Jul 4 (Prensa Latina) After returning to Buenos Aires, former president Cristina Fernández started today a series of meetings with followers of divided Front for Victory (FpV) and plans a tour of the country, defying an intense campaign to discredit her.

In the opinion of Oscar Parilli, the director of the Intelligence Federal Agency (AFI in Spanish), the former President faces an onslaught, a slanderous, discrediting and political persecution campaign against all who were part of the previous government". "We are in a situation where there is a state of law that is in serious risk. It is being affected by an unusual, charging action, never seen since the return to democracy in 1983 and after", stressed Parilli in interview with the Paco Urondo agency.

In his opinion, the campaign has two targets: "first to create in public opinion a kind of hate, disgust, against all those who were part of the previous administration, only because we were part of that government". It pursues to generate an image that we only committed penal crimes and that creates a new penal figure, that of having been part of that administration.

In second place, this campaign pursues to divert public opinion from the brutal, perverse and unedited adjustment this government is doing with the Argentinean economy, affirmed former director of Intelligence.
