Water Rationing in Honduran Capital

Water Rationing in Honduran Capital

Tegucigalpa, Feb 2 (Prensa Latina) The National Autonomous Service of Aqueducts and Sewerages of Honduras announced that it will begin to ration the water in this capital due to the absence of rain.

The director of the service in Tegucigalpa, Carlos Hernández, told that the water-treatment plants have a low production, reason for which they modified the supplying calendar.

As he informed to local media, in a normal period about three 3, 300 liters of water are produced per second, and at present, only two thousand are achieved.

At the beginnings of the year, the service warned that it would limit the supply for several hours in February to protect the water reservations in case the drought was maintained.
